Building on the successful implementation of the first phase of the Semicon India Programme (Semicon 1.0), the Union Cabinet has approved the next phase of Semicon India Programme (Semicon 2.0) with a fiscal outlay of ₹ 1,27,500 crore to accelerate the development of a robust and resilient semiconductor ecosystem in India, driven by six strategic pillars:

Semicon 1.0

Government of India launched Semicon India Programmee (Semicon 1.0), with an outlay of ₹76,000 crore to build a domestic semiconductor and display manufacturing ecosystem, under following schemes:

FSA Signed between India Semiconductor Mission, SICSEM PVT. LTD, Neun Infra Pvt. Ltd., and Archean Chemical Industries Ltd.

The Union Cabinet has approved two new semiconductor projects under India Semiconductor Mission (ISM): CRYSTAL MATRIX, an integrated compound semiconductor fab and ATMP facility in Dholera, Gujarat, and SUCHI SEMICON, an OSAT facility in Surat, Gujarat.

Groundbreaking of Heterogenous Integration Packaging Solutions (3DGS) in Bhubaneswar, Odisha.
